Giannotti's Saloon

 

Saloons, the "working man's clubs" were centers of political debate and shop talk. They also offered work information, held mail for men with no fixed address, and often provided free lunch. Pictured here is Giannotti's Saloon at the corner of East Broad and Ninth Street.
