William Scott - Pvt Co E 24 NC Trp Inf - Confederate States Army - 1836-1862

Alas for those comrades of days gone by
Whose forms are missed tonight.
Alas for the young and true who lie
Where the battle flag braved the fight.

No more on march or field of strife
Shall they lie so tired and worn,
No rouse again to hope and life
When the sound of drums beat at morn.

H.K. Edgerton, a moral and faithful man, walked 1,600 miles along the roadside from Asheville, N.C. to Texas carrying the Confederate Flag photographed in this picture. It was brought back from Texas to Oakwood Cemetery and passed row after row over 17,000 sleeping Southern Soldiers.

Louis H. Faithful - Pvt Co G 61 VA Regt - Confederate States Army - 1829-1862

Immediately after placing that flag around Louis H. Faithful's bronze marker a series of major "paranormal" events happen and continue to this day - Nov. 15, 2006.  Paranormal events of different natures that changed my values, understanding, and life.    A.C. Griffith

Robert Storey - Capt Co L 2 MD Inf - CSA - Apr 28 1823 - Jul 2 1863

We are tired of war on the old camp ground,
Many are dead and gone,
Of the brave and true who've left their homes,
Others been wounded long.

We've been fighting today on the old camp ground,
Many are lying near;
Some are dead, and some are dying,
Many are in tears.

Danny, I love you.
Rose

Many are the hearts that are weary tonight,
Wishing for the war to cease;
Many are the hearts looking for the right,
To see the dawn of peace.
Dying tonight, dying tonight,
Dying on the old camp ground
