Joseph Reid Anderson 's grave.
He enlisted as a private soldier in the arm of the Confederate States of America in April 1861, and rse grade by grade to become Lieutenant-Colonel, Chief-of Staff and Adjutant-General of the Army of Tennessee under General Joseph E. Johnston with whom he served until the end of the War in 1865.
