Us Boys

Who remembers when the boys had a beautiful musical instrument--a small, empty bottle? Mr. Boy would go along the street, blowing into the mouth of his instrument and making a musical sound, like that which comes from a conch shell. Alternately, he would put in the following words, or variations thereof, to a melodious phrase:

Hoo-a, Delaware! Hoo-a, Delaware!
Hoo-a, Delaware-oo, hoo!
Hoo-hoo-hoo hoo-a-oo hoo!
Hoo-hoo-hoo hoo-a-oo hoo!
Hoo-a, Delaware-oo, hoo!
